Rozonda (Chili) Thomas

We know her as 1/3rd of the multi-platinum 90’s pop/R&B group, TLC. We watched her high-profile relationships with Dallas Austin and heart throb, Usher Raymond unfold before the public and fizzle. We’ve seen her lose her bandmate and friend, survive bankruptcy and stand up for her son against cyberbullying. And through it all remain a supermom, a baddie, and a performance icon. The 48 year old now regularly shares her faith on IG and appears to have a Phd in minding her own business while still going out on Girl’s Cruises. Not to mention that she has abs for days and creates viral dance challenges with the best of them. Keep on Keepin’ on with your bad self, Chili!

Tamara Mowry Housley

If your are over the age of 30, Tamara and her twin sister Tia Mowry were likely an intricate part of your childhood. Their hit show, Sister Sister ran for 7 years as a highlight to our after-school and Saturday morning routine, making us all at one point secretly want to be a twin. From then on Tamara has starred in movies, her own reality tv show and is presently a personality on the hit daytime talk show, The Real. And of course she has done all this with her curls poppin and a beautiful sense of natural style. The 41 year old wife and mother of two exudes class and apparently takes her faith very seriously. Her and her sister became born-again Christians at the age of eight. And ever since, she has maintained an air of integrity and has been publically passionate about the spirituality poured into her from a young age. Tamara is the real deal and we will always be rooting for her.

Christianee Porter

Comedienne, Christianee Porter first came to our attention after creating a buzz on social media as Shirleen, a vocally unrivaled church lady with sass and class. Since then she has been helping us get our credit together, stunt on our haters and not fall out while waist-training in the summertime all while laughing our head’s off hysterically. Shirleen’s antics are nothing short of genuius but Christianee doesn’t stop at one character alone. She has a host of other personalities including Young Velvetta, Dr. Jane and Karen Don’t Care, a quirky reporter who keeps us more amused than informed. It is clear Christianee has no plans of stopping and no shortage of content to keep us in tears, dropping “dead” emojis. The 33 year old, Arkasas native most recently added film to her roladex by starring in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral. She continues to take clean comedy to new levels and represent for the real church babies or should we say “church ladies”. *Sings… “try meeeee”!

Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly is known for her sensational voice, naturally, but she’s also one of the most amazing artists reppin’ Women of Faith today. The “California girl” not only sang her way up via YouTube and made it through the first round of American Idol, Season 9 auditions- but she recorded, produced and engineered her first EP, Handmade Songs alone in her bedroom. A year later, she was signed to Capitol Records and has given the world plenty of heartfelt songs since with special consideration for the “single girls”. With ballads like, “It Could’ve Been Us” and “Dear No One”, it’s clear that she just gets us! Besides being an amazing artist, Tori has always been especially vocal about not compromising who she is to be big in the music industry. As a pop superstar, she refuses to be made into a sex symbol, is known for being quite humble and never ceases to inspire with her music. We were delighted when she choose to release her most recent project with more of a gospel feel then her earlier hits. The Album entitled, Hiding Place won Best Gospel Album and "Never Alone" won Best Gospel Performance/Song at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. And let me tell you, we ain’t mad about it all! Everything Tori does gets our bonified stamp of approval. Catch us on any regular day with a “Sang, Tori” on our lips! Or shall we say “Sing, Meena”?!

Wande Isola

Wande Isola is a 23 year old Nigerian American hip-hop artist and the first woman signed to Reach Records, a major Christian label, in it’s 16 years since inception. She is making headlines in the industry with her cool as ever approach to music, strong heritage and feminine flair. She made our list of faves because her goal is crystal clear- to infiltrate the hip hop scene with excellence and be a dope artist without compromising her faith. Her single, Blessed Up gives us all the thrills of southern trap without the dirt on our hands or our hearts. Plus her energy is long overdue in a male-dominated industry and proves that women are not to be underestimated or overlooked among hip hop heads. Wande, we’ve been waiting for you and we know you are not only making waves, but bringing the whole ocean! We are here for all of it!

Letitia Wright

There aren’t many women on the big screen who give us vibes of well “us” like Letitia Wright. Though beginning her professional career 7 years earlier, the English/Guyanese actress achieved global recognition in 2018 for her portrayal of Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Black Panther. *Pauses to pound chest with the imfamous X* Besides being incredibly talented and personable, she is increasingly vocal about her faith. She credits her relationship with God for helping her overcome depression and has even declined roles to take a break from acting and focus more on herself and her spiritual growth. Talk about self-love goals! We are so glad to have such a vibrant, uncompromising young woman like 25 year old Wright in the world of entertainment and look forward to seeing the heights we know she’ll reach.

Joanna Gaines

Along with Michelle Obama and Oprah, she is fastly becoming one of the world’s favorite household names. Joanna Gaines is an interior designer and famous house flipper well-acquainted with our television screens and our coffee tables. We may like her so much because in her reality tv show, Fixer Upper where she stars alongside her husband Chip, she manages to come off as both hard working and easy going, a combo that is not easily acheivable. Or perhaps it’s that she upped our domestic style game with simple eloquent tips and a whole line at our favorite place to spend money, more affectionately known as Targét. It may be her ability to constantly build an empire while juggling five kids. Whatever your reason is, no one can deny that Joanna is not only a refreshing example that nothing can stop a woman committed to her goals but also that nothing can stop a woman of faith. Her constant flow of inspiration is what makes us avid members of the Joanna Gaines fanclub.

Ayesha Curry

IMG_0511.jpg

Most of us were introduced to Ayesha Curry as NBA player, Stephen Curry’s wife. And though Ayesha proudly wears that title, she is also so much more! The 30 year old mom of three is a celebrity cook, cookbook author, and television personality. After guest roles in several television shows and movies, she began hosting her own show, Ayesha's Homemade, on Food Network. Despite no formal culinary training, Ayesha has been cooking since she was a child and started posting recipes on her personal Youtube channel in 2014. She has even written her own cookbook, The Seasoned Life, published in 2016. On September 20, 2017, Curry was named as a spokesperson for CoverGirl, becoming the first spokesperson for the brand who is not an actress or singer. Ayesha is known for her quirky personality and her very candid approach to celebrity. She is an open book and has shared quite a few personal trials and triumphs with the public including her experience with breast augmentation and insecurities as a “basketball wife”. In a world where many people are afraid to be themselves, we love Ayesha for her honesty and free spirited strut. She has long declared her faith as the foundation for everything she does and despite all the scrutiny will continue to shine, as she should!

Amanda Sudano

You may not recognize this beauty by name but you should. She is one-half of the sultry eclectic singing duo, Johnnyswim and the first black model to be featured solely in Louis Vuitton advertisements. Sudano is definitely no stranger to fame or faith. Her mother is reknown recording artist, Donna Summer and her father is Bruce Sudano, musician and founder of indie record label Purple Heart Recording Company. Her uncle, Fr. Glenn Sudano, CFR, a Roman Catholic priest was the founding member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in New York City and she attended Christ Presbeterian Highschool in Nashville, Tennesse at the age of 13. Sudano gives us such tranquil vibes with her soulful sound, and her free spirited approach to life and motherhood (taking her kids on tour continuously). She’s quite the muse speaking our love language in the lyrics of Johnnyswim’s songs while reppin the kingdom so naturally and carefree. Any girl who knows how to twirl has likely done it to Sudano’s voice. She never fails to make us feel like “we can take the world”. The 37 year old is definitely one of our faves.

Michelle Williams

We’ve got this fabulous beauty in both our R&B and gospel playlists. And listen we have a great time rockin out to all her hits- which happen to be quite a few. As a part of 90’s group, Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams will go down in history as a part of one of the best selling female singing groups of all time. The group has over 35 million copies sold under their belt featuring the 40 year old recording artist. But the accomplishments did not come without trial. As a part of DC, she gartnered both adoration and a lot of controversy over the group’s high turnover rate throughout the years and was constantly challenged on how she measured up. Fans were always scutinizing and throwing shade. But Michelle walked through it with grace and class! We understood a little bit more of the reason why when she broke out onto the gospel scene with her solo projects giving the genre a pop soul feel. And just in case you thought she was only good at playing the background, that solo career includes several international hits proving that everything she touches is succesful. Michelle has had to withstand plenty of haters, an ongoing fight with depression and a highly publicized break up. We got to see more of her authentic, fun churchy personality on Chad and Michelle, a reality series with her and said “Ex Bae” last year. And we have to give her props for her emotional transparency and her relentless stregnth! She’s fashionable, gorgeous, and definitely a gift to us in all the best ways.
